There does seem to be an issue in the ordering of the file. to explain this, some background :

I am using JDK 1.2.1_004 from Sun to compile the java classess and using the notes.jar/ncso.jar from Java/Corba toolkit 2.1.

If the classpath is set as :

CLASSPATH=.;c:\corbatoolkit\lib\notes.jar;c:\corbatoolkit\lib\ncso.jar

calling java <myclass>

throws the error.

Changing the ordering to :

CLASSPATH=.;c:\corbatoolkit\lib\ncso.jar;c:\corbatoolkit\lib\notes.jar

works just fine.

Maybe that's one of the reason I use the standard jar files shipped with the installation of Notes Clients to get my work done ;-)
